The FMX (short for Forza Motocross) pit bike was officially introduced to the New Zealand market in July 2008. The bike is in box andabout 90% assembled.Assemblyis available on request. Assembly fee applies.
How to set up a bike:
This bike requires minor assembly work which takes about 0.5-1 hour.Assembly work requires installing front wheels, front handle bars, check engine oil and bolts & nuts. (Please see “Installation Guidance” section)
All new bikes require run-in, please consult with seller about the procedure if you are not clear. You must replace the initial transport type of oil with proper motorcycle oil before you use the bike. Our recommended engine oil type is 10W/40 4 stroke motorcycle engine oil. Run-in period is about 4 hours / first 3 tank of petrol. During this period, do not over-rev the engine and do not drop the clutch. In the meantime, riders need to check all the bolts and nuts, chain tensioning during the run-in. (Not proper run-in can cause gear slipping).You need to check and tighten all the spokes after 1st 15mins, then check again in 1-2hours (Due to spokes are settled in and loosed in the initial period)
Before riding a bike:
It is compulsory to wear safety gear when riding any off-road bikes. Compulsory safety gears includes a helmet (must be legally approved). How to maintain a bike:
1) Regular service is very important to a pit bike. We recommend customers need to service their bike every 6 riding hours / 3 months (whichever comes first).
2) Do warm up the bike for a couple of minutes prior to every ride. (Warm-up instruction: open up the choke when you start the bike, accelerate the thumb throttle a little bit for a minute then close the choke after the engine has been warmed up)
3) Do not clean the bike by using hose / water blaster (recommend to use a cloth to mop).
